Non-Destructive Testing

Corrosion

Standards: C876

The Corrosion Mapping System rapidly determines the status or relative likelihood of chloride-induced corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete. Utilizing the half-cell potential method, the instrument is used to scan bridge decks, highway slabs, walls, and other structures.

Rebar Location ProfoScope

Standards: ACI 318, BS 1881 Part 204

Rebar Locators are used for locating reinforcing bars and Rebar Plus units can be used for also estimating depth of cover. Both offer exceptional accuracy, dependability, and ease of use with field-tested durability. use pulse induction technology for high stability and immunity to false signals.

Concrete Resistivity

Standards: AASHTO TP95-11

The Resipod is the fastest and most accurate concrete surface resistivity meter available. The 38mm (1-1/2") model is the only known meter available commercially to meet the new AASHTO provisional standard TP95-11. Concrete surface resistivity testing is a non-destructive and simple method for on-site evaluation of concrete. The Surface Resistivity (SR) test is a quick, proven method for estimating concrete permeability, and can replace the laborious rapid chloride permeability test.

Strength (Test Hammer)

Standards: ASTM C805, ASTM D5873, BS 1881: Part 202, ISOIDIS8045, ENV 206, IGJ/T 23-2001

Concrete Test Hammers are ideal for fast, inexpensive, nondestructive estimations of in-place concrete strength. Hammer tests can help determine where test cores should be taken and locate damage from freezing or fire.

The plunger rod is pressed against a concrete surface until a spring-loaded mass is released, causing an impact on the concrete.

Strength (Ultra Sonic)

Standards: EN12504-4 (Europe), ASTM C597-02 (North America), BS 1881 Part 203 (UK), ISO1920-7:2004 (International), IS1311 (India)

Ultrasonic Testers can be used to detect the presence of cracks, voids and other imperfections in concrete, as well as the determination and monitoring of concrete strength and deterioration of concrete, which may have occurred due to age, fire, frost or chemical attack

Strength(Probe System)

Standards: ASTM C803, BS-1881

Probe System is used to evaluate the compressive strength of in-place concrete. This non-destructive test can be used on fresh or mature concrete with equal effectiveness. The system features an electronic measuring device for accuracy and efficiency

Thickness Impact Echo (Concrete System)

System includes one pistol-grip transducer and one dual-head wave speed transducer. This will cover all possible testing needs. For determining the depth of surface-opening cracks, one end of the dual-head transducer can be used in conjunction with the pistol grip transducer. By its self, the dual-head transducer is used for independent measurements of wave speed. The system also includes a laptop computer and the necessary software to operate the system. The Pistol Grip transducer is used for routine impact-echo testing. When the transducer is put in place on the test surface it is armed by depressing a trigger or button. The pistol grip transducer is armed with a trigger on the underside of the handle. It is especially well suited to flat surfaces.
